MINIMUM ENTRIES
If there are less than four (4) entries in a particular event, events may be combined – Sport Classes and or men & women – in accordance with Para-Badminton Competition Regulation 5.1.5.1

ENTRY FEE
$125.00 per person includes: 
• Play in up to three events, 
• Feather YONEX shuttles 
• Social event on Friday night,
• Tournament souvenir t-shirt

REGULATIONS 
WITHDRAWALS

Withdrawals are permitted up to the date of registration deadline. Refunds for withdrawals are provided less a 25% administration fee for participants who withdraw prior to the entry deadline of the competition. After the entry deadline, but before the draws are made, refunds are provided les a 50% administration fee. 
Refunds will not be provided for withdrawals after the draws have been made.

CONDITIONS OF PLAY 
Participation is open to all players with a disability which has been confirmed and documented by a physician, and falls into one of the Para-Badminton classifications.

Participants must be registered members of a Badminton Canada Provincial/Territorial Organization, or a Member Association of the Badminton World Federation (BWF). 
*Non-Canadian Association participants will be charged an extra $15 fee for entering a tournament

COMPETITION FORMAT

  • The 21-Rally Point scoring format will be utilized. Three-minute warm-up and ten minute default will be strictly enforced. 
  • Competitors must be ready to play 30 minutes before the scheduled match time. Failure to be ready to play when called will result in disqualification.

CLASSIFICATION 
ELIGIBILITY and CLASSIFICATION FOR NEW PLAYERS
All players should be classified at a national level according to the BWF Para-Badminton Classification Regulations.
New players must complete Player Medical information Form 1&2 (available online at http://badminton.ca/calendarevent/31136/1st-Canadian-ParaBadminton-Championships
). Forms must be submitted by the tournament entry deadline to ann@badminton.ca

SCHEDULE 
Tuesday May 17 Player registration – Classification
All new players and players to be re-classified must present themselves to the registration and give all required papers to the Chief Classifier. All players must be on-time to participate in the tournament.
**Accreditation pick-up for family members of players / coaches / managers 16:00 – 18:00
Classification meeting 20:00 – 21:00
Wednesday May 18 Player classification 11:00-18:00
Practice courts available 10:00 -17:00 
Players meeting 20:00-21:00
Thursday May 19 Day 1 Competition (main rounds) 10:00-20:00
Friday May 20 Day 2 Competition (finals)
**Medal ceremonies will follow the finals 10:00-19:00
Para-Badminton Social & Special Awards Presentations – at the Four Points Hotel.
The social event will feature snack foods and non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar will be available on site. 20:00-23:00
Note-the schedule times above may change depending on the number of entries. Any changes to the scheduled times will be communicated via online on the tournament registration page.

• University De Moncton Campus Residence – MEDARD COLLETTE BUILDING
Located one minute walk to the cafeteria and a 3 minute walk to the Badminton Venue. 
For players over 19 years of age, under age players must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to reserve a suite in the Medard Collette 
20 two-bed suites blocked (40 beds) 
$80 per suite per night ($40 per person), each suite has two locking bedroom doors, one shower, one bathroom as well as a full size fridge, sink and small kitchen eating area.

MEAL PLANS
Full week meal plans will be available at the University Cafeteria regardless of whether you are staying in a host hotel or the university residence. Meals will also be available in the cafeteria 

WAIVER OF RIGHTS
I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all claims for damages I may have against Badminton Canada, any of it's member organizations, the host venue, and their respective agents, members of staff, for any and all injuries which may be suffered by me, through accident or negligence, in conjunction with my competition and attendance at all related activities of this event. I accept the above terms from the time of online entry until the completion of the tournament.
