The affairs of Badminton Alberta are managed by a board of volunteer directors.
Director positions are available in odd numbered zones according to the enclosed map: Sunny South – Zone 1; Calgary – Zone 3, Yellowhead Black/Gold – Zone 5; and North East – Zone 7. These positions are for a period of two years and will be determined through a mail ballot election process. Only current Badminton Alberta members residing in the respective zone may vote.

Badminton Canada would also like to remind you that registration for the 2018 Canadian Junior International, held at The Glencoe Club from March 22-25 2018 in Calgary, Alberta has been open for a number of weeks. The registration deadline for this event is Feb. 13th 2018, and is fast approaching. Registration link for this event is:

Badminton Canada has now opened the registration for 2018 Yonex U11/U13 Junior Development Team Qualifier. The U11/U13 Junior Development Team replaces what was referred to the Pan Am Development Team in 2017 as the scope of support for these athletes will increase in 2018 beyond just the 2018 Pan Am Junior Championship. The event will be held at Humber College from March 9-11 2018 in Toronto, Ontario, along with the 2018 Yonex Ontario Junior Elite.
To be eligible for this event, all participants must be Canadian citizens, and must be 12 years old or younger on December 31st 2018. Registration is now open and available below.

Badminton Alberta is in need of qualified coaches to help delivery instructional programs in various quadrants of the city. The Badminton Academy offers varying levels of instructional programs, and is currently soliciting applicants to assist in lesson delivery.
