The entry fee of $105 per player must be made online. There will be an additional $15 fee for non Canadian association participants.

ENTRY DEADLINE

Unpaid entries will not be included in the draws. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 
Requests for extenuating circumstances will only be accepted via the Provincial Organization of the player and such requests are not guaranteed to proceed.

EVENTS:

  • Events will be held in singles, doubles and mixed doubles for U15, U17 and U19 age categories. Badminton Canada will be utilizing the Tournament Software online registration system.
  • Consolations will be held for all competitors defeated in their first round match of the main event. It will be the responsibility of each athlete to notify the draw desk, within 30-minutes of their opening round defeat. Consolation rounds offered time permitting.


TOURNAMENT RULES 
The 21-Rally Point scoring format will be utilized. Three-minute warm-up and ten minute default will be strictly enforced. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Competition is open to athletes born in 2002 or later (U15), 2000 or later (U17), 1998 or later (U19). All participants in Elite Series tournaments must be registered members of BCan or a Member Association of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and provide their member ID upon online registration. The registration fee to become a member of Badminton Canada will be an annual fee (Sept 1st-August 31st) and you must be a registered member in good standing with a BCan provincial membership organization in order to be a registered member of BCan. 

*Non-Canadian association participants will be charged an extra $15 fee for entering a tournament. 
The maximum number of entrants is 150. Should the maximum entry be exceeded, priority will be given to players/teams ranked in the top 10 in each event on the Canadian National ranking list. After the top 10 ranked players/teams in each event, priority will be given to players based on their date of entry onto the tournament. Doubles and Mixed teams will be considered based on the latest entry date of the two partners.
 

COACHING ELIGIBILITY (November 2015 Policy)

The certification guidelines for all BCAN sanctioned events will be implemented over a two (2) year period by BCAN and all PSO/TSOs. BCAN requires: ELite Series - Level i Certification of Competition Introduction (Regional - Certified).

REFUNDS
Refunds are provided to participants, less a 25% administration fee, who withdraw prior to the entry deadline of the competition. After the entry deadline, but before the draws are made, refunds are provided les a 50% administration fee. Refunds will not be provided for withdrawals after the draws have been made.

I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all claims for damages I may have against Badminton Canada, any of it's member organizations, the host venue, and their respective agents, members of staff, for any and all injuries which may be suffered by me, through accident or negligence, in conjunction with my competition and attendance at all related activities of this event. I accept the above terms from the time of online entry until the completion of the tournament.
