Badminton Alberta is pleased to offer "Badminton Officiating 101 - An Introductory Course to officiating the game of badminton".
Location: Badminton Alberta office & Mount Royal University
Course Dates:
- Thursday, January 09 from 5:00-8:00pm
- Friday, January 10 from 5:00-8:00pm
- Saturday, January 11 from 1:00-4:00pm
- Sunday, January 12 from 9:00am-noon
Course Schedule:
- Thursday, January 9 from 5:00-8:00pm (Theory session)
- Friday, January 10 from 5:00-8:00pm (Observation/practical - singles)
- Saturday, January 11 from 1:00-4:00pm (On-court practical - doubles)
- Sunday, January 12 from 9:00am-noon (Finals)
**for on-court session please wear clean non-marking indoor shoes. Outdoor shoes are not permitted**
Course Pre-Requisites:
Prior to attending the clinic, candidates are asked to review the following:
- Laws of Badminton
- ITTO (Instructions to Technical Officials) as defined by the Badminton World Federation
- Vocabulary
- Instructions to Umpires & Service Judges
- Badminton Technical Officials Umpires' Manual
