Badminton Alberta's - "The Badminton Academy" provides high quality instructional camps designed for child, youth and Back To Training players.
Our Child camp - Focused on introducing fundamental badminton skills through fun games and energized activites and drills.
Our Youth camp - For youth beginner to intermediate athletes looking to learn the fundamentals or further develop and expand on their badminton skills, footwork, conditioning, learn single, doubles and mixed play and much more.
Our Back to Training focused camp- For youth athletes from intermediate or experienced athletes who have previously competed on school teams, our Elite training program, junior provincials and junior tournaments. This camp will further your badminton skills refining and tuning up skills for the upcoming year of competitive or recreational badminton. This camp is not for beginners.

Summer Camp Age Groups:
Child - ages 8-12 years.
Youth - ages 13-17 years
Youth- "Back to Training" - ages 13-17 years. Previous badminton expereince is required, not for beginner players.
Summer Camp Information
Child summer camp information: This instructional summer camp includes exposure to basic grip, serves, overhead/underhand strokes combined with various footwork patterns. Children will develop and improve their fundamental movement skills, coordination, agility and overall mobility through drills. Children will learn rules and etiquette of the sport as well as introductory applications and modified games. All our summer camp are lead by NCCP certified coaches in a supportive and engaging environment.
Location: Mount Royal University (Stanley Gymnasium), 4825 Mount Royal Gate SW, Calgary
Ages 8-12 years
Time: 9:00a.m. - 11:00a.m.
Week # 1 - 5 Day Camp Cost: $281.25
Week # 2 - 4 Day Camp Cost: $225.00
Youth summer camp information: This instructional camp is designed to improve footwork, technical skills and shots through focused drills and activites. Increase mobility, coordination and conditioning through high energy activites and warmups. Tune up knowledge for game strategies for single, doubles and mixed doubles matches. Review technical and Tactical shots in game play and much more. All our summer camps are lead by NCCP certified coaches in a supportive and engaging environment.

Time: 11:30a.m.-2:30p.m.
Week #1 - 5 Day Camp Cost: $375.00 (GST will be added at check-out).
Week #2 - 4 Day Camp Cost: $300.00 (GST will be added at check-out).
Youth Back To Training camp information: This "Back To Training" summer camp are for those athletes with intermidate to advanced badminton experience. Those youth with previous experince in playing on school teams, Badminton Alberta Elite program, provincial junior tournaments, participated at City's or Provincials. Athletes with interest in particpating in junior tournaments in the upcoming season.
This focused camp will tune up Technical and Tactical skills through competitive matches and ladder play. Refine shot selection, footwork through structured drills. Improve and build upon precision, power and consistency in clears, drops, drives, net play and smashes. Build consistency and stamina with multi-shuttle drills and scrambles and much more.All our summer camps are lead by NCCP certified coaches in a supportitive and engaging environment.

Time: 3:00-6:00p.m.
