Age categories revised to u13 & u17
New for 2021.22 is the requirement to submit an on-line WAIVER prior to each tournament. The content of the WAIVER is the same material that you have agreed to while completing the tournament registration process - we just require an adult or guardian to provide a signature agreeing to the terms and conditions.
A separate waiver must be completed for all minors (children under the age of 18 years) and each parent, guardian or other in attendance. Multiple children can be added to the same waiver and must be signed by an adult.

For youth (under 18) sporting events, group classes, training, and competitions are permitted, but participants are required to:
Badminton Alberta will be implementing the Restrictions Exemption Program requiring proof of vaccination, plus mandatory masking, to continue operating as usual.COVID-19 restrictions will be in effect. Everyone must have photo identification and proof of vaccination QR code downloaded to their smart phone.

- All participants 12 years or older that are eligible for vaccination - MUST be fully vaxed no less than 14 days prior to the first day of the tournament. Athletes under the age of 12 years will be exempt from Vaccination requirements. No other exemptions will be accepted.
- Spectator attendance is restricted to 1/3 fire code capacity, attendees are limited to a single household or 2 close contact if living alone and must be masked and maintain 2 metres physical distancing. All parents/spectators must be fully vaccinated.
