David Folinsbee Memorial Tournament
In memory of David Folinsbee and the club’s 35th anniversary, The Red Willow Badminton Club will be hosting a fun double’s only event October 20th and 21st, 2023. Friday night features pizza and is included in your registration fee. Guest and extra pizza tickets will be available for purchase at the club. Sandwiches, light snacks, and beverages will be available for purchase at the counter.
As this is a fun event, no prizes will be awarded for event winners. However, door prize draws will be drawn throughout the event.

Friday starts at 6:30 PM, while the Saturday start is 9:00 AM.
Entry Deadline:
October 11, 2023 @23:59PM PST. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Events:
Mixed Doubles (combined ages): 40-69, 70-99, 100-119, 120+
Men’s and Women’s Doubles: 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
All ages as of December 31, 2023.
Maximum three events per person with a maximum of two in either mixed or doubles. Events with fewer than 4 participants may be combined.
If you require a partner, please request one when registering.
The maximum number of entries is 75. Register early to guarantee your spot.
Tournament Fees:
The event entry fee is $55 plus GST for a total of $57.75. As this is a Badminton Alberta sanctioned event, Alberta players will be required to purchase a Badminton Alberta membership for $25+GST. Please use the following link to access PLAYERWEB
Refunds / Withdrawal Penalty:
Refunds are provided to participants, less a 25% administration fee, who withdraw prior to the entry deadline of the competition. After the entry deadline, but before the draws are made, refunds are provided less a 50% administration fee. Refunds will not be provided for withdrawals after the draws have been made.
Waiver of Rights:
I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release all claims for damages I may have against Red Willow Badminton Club, members of staff or volunteers, for any and all injuries which may be suffered by me, through accident or negligence, in conjunction with my competition and attendance at all related activities of this event.
I accept the above terms from the time of online entry until the completion of the tournament.
