2024 Alberta Sport Recognition Awards

Alberta has had an incredible year with the recent conclusion of the 2024 Olympics and Paralympic Games as well as many other notable sport events.
It is now time to recognize our incredible athletes, coaches, teams, technical officials, and volunteers.
The Alberta Sport Recognition Awards program was established in 1987 to acknowledge the outstanding achievements and commitment of athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers in the province.
The 2024 Alberta Sport Recognition Awards will acknowledge the following categories:
- Junior Female and Male Athlete of the Year
- Junior Team of the Year
- Open Female and Male Athlete of the Year
- Open Team of the Year
- Coach and Technical Officials Recognition Award
- Volunteer Award (Biennial)
- Don Watts – Coach Developer (Biennial)
We are asking all our Provincial Sport Organizations to nominate athletes, coaches, technical officials, and volunteers in your organizations that have made an impact on the national and international stage. We want to recognize their achievements and contribution to your organization and sport in Alberta.
Nominations will close on January 15, 2025. The application for each category is available at the Alberta Sport Recognition Awards website.
