How to Check Eiligibility for a Tournament

If you are registering for a Badminton Alberta tournament, the information provided here will guide you on how to check if you are eligible for any specific event.

Before Registering for a Tournament:
2. Find out which week number and date that registration opens for a tournament and when it closes:
This can be found on the Tournament event page on our website, as shown below:

3. Once you have found the Ranking Week used for eligibility, go to the Tournament Software Ranking page and select the correct Ranking Week:

4. After you have selected the correct Ranking Week for eligibility, find and click on the athlete's name in the lists or by using the "Search" function. Once you click on their name, you will see their points summary. You can use the POINTS column (not Total Points) to see if you are eligible for the tournament you are looking to register for. In this example:
- since this athlete has over 2500 points in any Singles event, they are eligibile for GOLD tournaments
- since they have over 3000 points in any Singles event, they are ineligible to play in a SILVER or BRONZE tournament.

In this example:
- since the athlete has over 2500 points in any Singles event, they are eligible for GOLD tournaments.
- Since they have under 3000 points in any Singles event and/or under 4000 points in any Doubles event, they are eligible to play in SILVER events.
- Since they have over 1000 points in any Singles and/or 1500 points in any Doubles, they are ineligible for BRONZE events
